the old Sunken Garden sign.

Sandblasted signfoam directional tags guided visitors
to City Island. What looks like 8"x 8"support timbers
are "box" beams of 3/4" redwood over spruce ribs.

The Peace Garden on the east bank of the Susquehanna, two blocks north of the Governor's residence is a collaboration between the City of Harrisburg and the Harrisburg-Hershey chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility.

It is well maintained by a volunteer force and newly planted every spring by landscaper Michael Lehman .

All the carved signs on this page are
the property of the City of Harrisburg.
They were commissioned by Parks & Recreation under Tina Manoogian King.
