Makers' Orphans

This site is dedicated to the illumination, identification, and hopefully, clarification of some well made and good sounding violins and the many fine violin makers whose work is mislablelled, unlabelled, or otherwise unattributable, but still sing today. All these fiddles are (or were) owned and cared for by me. The collection you are about to inspect represents over forty years of collecting, protecting, restoring and tweaking. I believe there is something here of interest for every level of fiddle enthusiast; from the initiate, to the seasoned and acknowleged indentifier. I welcome any questions, comments or corrections sent my way. --- Christopher Hauke --- hauke@epix.net
