Monumental custom signs with a dignified look.
carved signs, routed signs, sandblasted signs, sculpted, gold leafed signs

Owing to their permanance, size, and often historic significance,
the denominational sign should always have a decidedly decorous tone.
That means proper font selection for the text, well chosen field and trim colors,
substantial looking support, and a complimentary planting scheme.

monumental carved sign

This monumental assemblage was designed and fabricated by me in 1994.
The engraved sign, inlaid with 23k gold leaf, has a sculpted mahogany mitre and crest.
The center section is on hinge pins and is removable by crane. The 6x6 cedar support posts
are clad with redwood and anchored below the surface to a continuous grade beam.
The fencing was fabricatedwith the help of one experienced carpenter/painter,
one blacksmith and one metal fabrication shop. However, it took four men to install safely !

Two hand carved redwood signs in the Central Pa. countryside, done almost two decades ago.
Don't let a quality redwood sign go to long. A refurbished sign can look like day one,
.....and sometimes a few smart changes or just a new field color makes all the difference.
See the SERVICES page for more on the subject of refurbishing.

Hand carved and gilded drop leaf joined to the work of a skilled cabinet maker produced this communion table for a York parish
